Recruiting @ PIO - How we manage to find the best employees
Are you struggling with recruiting skilled employees? Don’t worry. We’ve all been there. The good news is: if you recruit smartly, you will be able to attract top talent. Our HR Manager Sophie has shared her best tips for successful recruiting with us. So here we go.
Tip #1: Reach, reach, reach!
Our most important tool for job advertisements? LinkedIn, of course. Like many companies, we heavily rely on the business network. But: “Just place a job ad and wait? That doesn't work”, Sophie explains: “LinkedIn is social media - achieving visibility demands a clever strategy.”
That's why we rely on a company profile instead of just click-per-cost ads. Why? A profile allows you to post several job advertisements in parallel, which are favored by the algorithm. According to LinkedIn, companies with active profiles receive eight times more applications than passive advertisements. So it pays off in the long term!
Tip #2: Make your job advertising process dynamic!
Many companies post a job ad - and wait. Bad idea! Sophie advises: “Most applications come in during the first two weeks after launching an ad. If there are enough candidates, react quickly, start your interview phase and pause the ad.”
The advantage? Quick responses significantly reduce the bounce rate - according to studies, around 50 percent of applicants in Germany drop out when they have to wait too long for a response. If no candidate fits your needs, you can always choose to restart the ad - with an extra boost in reach.
Tip #3: Keep it real.
Sophie explains: “I'm always honest in conversations and say what we can and can't offer.” Realistic expectations ensure long-term satisfaction on both sides.
But what makes PIO special? “We don't offer a DAX-company career ladder, but we do offer flexible working models, flat hierarchies and a family culture with real team spirit. If you're looking for creative projects and a strong work-life balance, you've come to the right agency.
Tip #4: Invest in your employees
The best recruiting? Satisfied employees that intend to stay. “To achieve this, we focus on many New Work practices: We offer a 35-hour week, trust-based working hours and work from anywhere. From workation in Spain to flexible working hours for parents - we create conditions that really suit the people working at our agency.”
According to a XING study, 80 percent of employees say that flexible working models are a decisive factor in their choice of job. Companies that invest here attract - and retain - the best talent.
