Paunsdorf Center and Höfe am Brühl – More than just shopping 

The real estate company Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield Germany GmbH (URW) runs 19 modern shopping centers in Germany with a high quality of stay. Since 2016, we support URW with media relations for Höfe am Brühl and Paunsdorf Center in Leipzig. We design, plan and coordinate press relations, write texts and maintain journalist contacts. Depending on the occasion, we also take on the conception and implementation of events and provide social media support.

PIO ensures that the activities of the two shopping centers and their further development are reported on in local and regional media. Especially the centers‘ commitment in the city and region is meant to generate attention. They present themselves as innovative, future-oriented shopping centers with a wide range of products and services, thus strengthening their position as relevant players in the city. 


We regularly inform regional print and online media, radio and TV about the latest news - preferably about the various activities and events at Höfe am Brühl and Paunsdorf Center. We maintain close contact with regional journalists and, depending on the topic, organize press events on site. In addition, we also initiate collaborations with local, attention-grabbing influencers to strengthen the centers‘ media relations and their own communication channels. 


We generate systematic reporting and achieve an increase in media presence for both centers.  On its 10th anniversary we achieved a reach of 1.3 million in regional offline and online media for Höfe am Brühl. The highlight of 2023 was a communication campaign regarding the installation of Germany's largest photovoltaic system on the roof of a shopping center at Paunsdorf Center. A mix of measures including press releases on the start of construction, an exclusive preliminary report in the newspaper Leipziger Volkszeitung and a press event for the inauguration generated 122 publications and more than 30.5 million impressions.  

In total, we generated almost 440 self-initiated publications in print and online media for Paunsdorf Center and Höfe am Brühl over the past three years.
